About

Me

As a dedicated professional with a diverse background in construction, carpentry, and military service, I have developed a strong foundation in architecture and leadership. My journey in this field has been shaped by my experiences in the Marine Corps and my ongoing education in architecture.

Before pursuing my architectural studies, I served for 4 years in the Marine Corps as a Combat Engineer, where I first discovered my passion for architecture. My deployments to Iraq and Afghanistan involved constructing essential structures, teaching me to efficiently manage materials and understand the fundamentals of post and beam construction. After my service, I completed my Bachelor's in Arts in Architecture at the University of Kentucky, where I actively engaged in various academic roles, including working as an assistant in fabrication labs, a teaching assistant, and a research assistant for tenure-track faculty.

Currently, I am pursuing my graduate studies at the Southern California Institute of Architecture (SCI-ARC) in Los Angeles. Alongside my studies, I have gained valuable professional experience as an architectural designer at GRW Engineers in Lexington, Kentucky, for 2 years. This role has honed my skills in construction documentation, budgeting, and responding to contractor RFIs and submittals. My career now intersects teaching, research, and professional practice in architecture, and I am excited to contribute my knowledge and skills to the evolving field of architecture.
